Karen Moore

Chief Psyence Officer & Principal Occupational Psychologist

CPsychol · CSci · AFBPsS · EuroPsy · CPBP · MRAeS

Karen has more than four decades of experience in Occupational Psychology, specialising in psychological assessment, psychometrics and workforce development.

As co-founder of Dove Nest Group in 1982, she helped develop psychological assessment services for organisations across a wide range of industries, supporting recruitment, development and internal promotion from graduate through to board level.

Her particular expertise lies in the appropriate application of psychometric tools and the interpretation of psychological data. From 2018 to 2026, Karen served as Programme Lead for the British Psychological Society Qualification in Occupational Psychology (Stage 2), the professional route to Chartered status.

Psychology applied to aviation

Coming from an aviation family herself, Karen has worked closely with the aviation sector since 2017, applying her expertise in occupational psychology and psychometric assessment to the particular pressures and responsibilities of aviation professionals.

She previously held the global licence to provide Mind-Q Mental Health Monitoring within aviation and holds the BPS Specialist in Test Use: Occupational certification, the highest level of occupational psychometric test-use qualification.

Karen is registered with the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Occupational Psychologist.

At AeroPsyence, she leads the psychological methodology behind our assessments and services, helping organisations better understand wellbeing, resilience and the factors that can influence sustainable performance.

Robin Hepworth

Managing Director

Robin brings more than three decades of international experience in aviation recruitment, workforce strategy and employment solutions.

Raised in an aviation family, with his father serving as a British Airways pilot, Robin’s connection to the industry began early. His career has since centred on helping organisations attract, engage and retain the professionals essential to safe and successful aviation operations.

After an early career in management development and entrepreneurship, Robin moved into recruitment, where he pioneered on-site recruitment management solutions for major UK organisations before entering aviation recruitment in 2000.

Three decades of aviation workforce experience

Robin has led major international pilot recruitment and employment programmes and, in 2004, relocated to Switzerland to co-found PAS Aviation, supporting airlines and aviation businesses across Europe and internationally.

Today, alongside AeroPsyence, he is Director of Flight Crew Services at Resource Group, leading international teams providing recruitment, employment and workforce engagement solutions to commercial airlines, business aviation operators and private aircraft owners.

His expertise extends across cross-border employment, workforce mobility, regulatory compliance, taxation, social security and immigration, giving him a practical understanding of the complex environment in which aviation professionals and their employers operate.

At AeroPsyence, Robin brings this operational and commercial perspective to the development of practical wellbeing and resilience solutions designed around the realities of the aviation industry.

Two perspectives. One mission.

Karen understands the psychology behind the individual.
Robin understands the operational reality around them.

Together, they founded AeroPsyence to bridge the two — combining psychological expertise, aviation experience and technology to give individuals and organisations a clearer understanding of wellbeing and resilience.

Because supporting people in aviation is not only about responding when something goes wrong. It is about understanding what is changing before it does.
